- Dave Hewitt's father sailing his 40th birthday present in 1969. It was that year's Boat Show model costing £95 at the time. She stayed in the family for 20 years during which time it was sailed in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Suffolk on holiday; based in Shoeburyness for some time then on the river Blackwater.

- 1973 Police Sailing Regatta - two Minisails took part, P.C. Derek Westall (South Wales) took fifth place just 10 seconds behind the Minisail of P.C. Colin Spikesley.
