MiniSprint I

The first of the Minisprint versions is very much based on the standard Mk2 Monaco. Richmond Marine supplied it with a stiff, tracked boom, a far better than standard cut Holt Dacron sail and outhaul, Cunningham and kicker split to either side of cockpit. The main was stern sheeted running on an adjustable rope bridle and sheet led forward to a block about half way along the boom from which the sheet was handed.
It's believed that the deck was more lightly constructed than standard, but stiffer and with much better finish. Seen as a definate improvement over the standard Monaco. The boat first appeared at the 1973 Earls Court boat show.
